The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized single-core cable with fluoropolymer PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, designed for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. Ideal for installations in places exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals or requiring flexibility over a wide temperature range.

Construction and properties

The cable construction is based on silver-plated copper strands, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets the stringent standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878, guaranteeing high quality and reliability. PTFE is characterized by exceptional chemical, thermal and electrical resistance, making this cable an ideal choice for industrial and specialized applications.

• Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) – enables operation in extreme thermal conditions.
• High chemical resistance: resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline – ideal for use in the chemical industry.
• Low water permeability: minimal water permeability approx. 0.18 mg/cm2 over 24 hours – ensures reliable operation in a humid environment.
• Non-flammable: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards – increases installation safety.

The core can be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
