Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable is a reliable solution for installations requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) – making it an ideal choice for industrial applications such as furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances or chemical installations.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: a silver-plated copper core provides good conductivity, and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors. PTFE is a material with low permeability to water and gases, which minimizes electrical losses and ensures long-term reliability. Additionally, the PTFE insulation is non-flammable and resistant to ozone, microorganisms and fungi.

Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme conditions, as well as in the chemical industry, where resistance to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline is required. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards relating to PTFE insulated cables. Additionally, it meets the flame retardancy tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
