Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable stands out with its advanced construction, guaranteeing its unique properties. Silver-plated copper core provides excellent conductivity, and PTFE insulation – exceptional resistance to external factors. This makes the cable ideal for use in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to flames, acids, bases, solvents, oils, and gasoline.

• Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C) – enables use in extreme thermal conditions.
• High chemical resistance: complete resistance to most acids, bases, solvents, and oils.

Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in difficult conditions. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE) and standards DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673. The operating voltage is type E = 600V or type EE = 1000V with a test voltage of 3.4kV or 5kV, respectively. The minimum insulation resistance is 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.

Additionally, it is possible to order the cable in various core colors: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) or other color on request (8). The core can also be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request.
