PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature and chemicals, is an ideal solution for demanding industrial applications. This cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, brick plants, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and in the chemical industry. Its construction and materials ensure reliability even in the most aggressive environments.

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable has a silver-plated copper core, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). Additionally, PTFE provides excellent dielectric properties and resistance to chemicals, oils, solvents, and radiation. The cable is flame retardant, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and technical parameters

This cable is particularly recommended for applications where standard cables fail. Its unique properties make it perfect for installations exposed to extreme temperatures, aggressive chemicals, or requiring high reliability. The rated voltage U/U0 is 600 V, and the core cross-section is 0.14 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 1.19 mm. The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The cable meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire behavior and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Available in transparent color and other colors (on request – adding the appropriate symbol to the catalog number).
