Extremely durable casing.
Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, is designed to operate in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, chemicals, and radiation. This cable is ideal for both industrial applications and electrical installations exposed to harsh conditions.
Construction and properties
The silver-plated copper core for better conductivity is surrounded by PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation, ensuring reliability and long-term operation. PTFE guarantees resistance to aggressive chemical substances, oils, gasoline, and also to microorganisms and fungi. The cable is non-flammable and completely resistant to ozone and atmospheric conditions. Water absorption is minimal, which further increases its durability. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
Applications and parameters
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme temperatures – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). It works perfectly in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices and in the chemical industry. Its rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, and the core cross-section is 0.14 mm². The approximate outer diameter is 1.19 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard – confirms compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. It also has certificates confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
