This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.EE cable, made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, is designed for operation in demanding environments. It is suitable for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets, where it is exposed to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, or radiation. Construction and properties ensuring safety
The cable is characterized by high temperature resistance – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). The durable PTFE insulation provides minimal electrical losses and high resistance to mechanical damage. Additionally, the material is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms and fungi, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal, guaranteeing stable electrical parameters even in a humid environment. The cable has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
Applications and specifications
The HELUFLON cable is used in installations operating under extreme thermal conditions – furnaces, brickworks, kitchen and measuring devices. It also works perfectly in the chemical industry, where it is exposed to contact with flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. The operating voltage of the cable is 1000V (EE type), and the insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. Available in black color. It is possible to order cables in other colors (red, blue, brown, white, transparent, two-color or on request) by adding the appropriate symbol to the catalog number (1 = black, 2 = red, etc.). The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
