Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG28/7 (0.09 mm²) black, 600 V 25131
Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable, made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, is designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users who need a reliable solution.
Construction and properties for demanding applications
The silver-plated copper core provides excellent conductivity, and the PTFE insulation guarantees electrical stability over a wide temperature range – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). PTFE is a material with exceptional dielectric properties, which translates to low energy losses and high resistance to damage. This cable is non-flammable, resistant to microorganisms and fungi, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal, ensuring long-term reliability even in humid environments. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance free.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme thermal conditions – e.g. in furnaces, brickworks or kitchen appliances. It is also perfect for the chemical industry, where resistance to aggressive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline is required. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and standards DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and IEC 60673. The rated voltage U0/U is 600 V, and the test voltage is 3.4 kV (type E). The minimum insulation resistance is 1 GOhm x km.
