This HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable is a specialized solution designed for applications requiring exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and fire. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding environments. The cable is ideal for both indoor installations and harsh industrial conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable features a solid construction – a single silver-plated copper core provides good conductivity, while the PTFE insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to external factors. PTFE, in accordance with DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards, provides excellent dielectric properties and high thermal resistance. Additionally, this cable is distinguished by:

• Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C), making it ideal for use in furnaces, heat treatment, or the chemical industry.
• Chemical resistance: resistant to acids, bases, solvents, oils, and gasoline – crucial in industrial environments.
• Low flammability: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
• High insulation: minimizes energy loss and ensures safe operation of the installation.
• Radiation resistance: up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad), allowing its use in applications exposed to ionizing radiation.
• Minimal water absorption: ensures stable operating parameters even in humid environments.
