Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG28/7 (0.09 mm²) brown, 600 V 25134
High-temperature wire HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E – reliability in extreme conditions
This brown HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire with a cross-section of 0.09 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation in harsh conditions. The wire is designed for installation in switchgear cabinets, furnaces, kitchen appliances, the chemical industry, and anywhere else where standard wires fail.
Construction and properties – the key to durability
The wire construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, which provides excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets the strict standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878, guaranteeing exceptional thermal and chemical resistance. This allows the wire to maintain its properties in temperatures ranging from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not interfere with painting.
- Exceptional resistance: To radiation, microorganisms, ozone, and weathering.
- Low electrical losses: Thanks to the high-quality PTFE insulation.
- Non-flammable: Meets IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 standards, ensuring installation safety.
- Wide operating temperature range: From -190°C to +260°C (short-term +300°C), ideal for industrial applications.
- Minimal water absorption: Ensures stable electrical parameters even in humid environments.
Applications and compliance with standards
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire finds application in a wide range of industries:
- Chemical industry: Resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline.
- Food industry: Can be used in kitchen appliances due to the neutrality of materials.
- Energy sector: Installations in furnaces, brickworks, and other high-temperature facilities.
- Construction of switchgear cabinets: Provides reliable connections in difficult working conditions.
The wire complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. The rated voltage U/U0 is 600/600 V, and the test voltage is 3.4 kV (type E). The insulation resistance is at least 1 GOhm x km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter.
