Highly durable PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E 600 V cable is a reliable solution for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. The cable is characterized by a flexible, stranded silver-plated copper core, providing good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to chemical, thermal and mechanical factors.

Construction and properties

The HELUFLON cable is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards. Its construction includes:

• Core: silver-plated copper, which increases its corrosion resistance and ensures good electrical conductivity.
• Insulation: made of PTFE-HELUFLON®, a material with exceptional dielectric properties and chemical resistance.
• Rated voltage: 600 V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
• Core cross-section: 0.09 mm², ideal for installations with lower current loads.
• Outer diameter: approximately 1.09 mm, which facilitates cable routing in tight spaces.

Thanks to the use of PTFE, the cable exhibits excellent insulating properties, minimal electrical losses and is flame-retardant and resistant to the action of microbes and ozone. This is particularly important in industrial and laboratory applications where high reliability and safety are required. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting.

Applications and installation

The HELUFLON cable is used in:

• Installations in furnaces, brickworks and kitchen appliances.
• Chemical industries, where contact with aggressive chemicals (acids, alkalis, solvents) occurs.
• Construction of switchboard cabinets operating in extreme temperatures.
• Measuring devices requiring high precision and stability.

The cable is easy to install thanks to its flexibility and small size. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, allowing it to be easily routed in tight spaces. Cables are available in various colors – black, red, blue, brown, white, transparent and two-color – which facilitates the identification of cores in the installation (the appropriate symbol should be added to the catalog number). The core can also be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request.
