HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y Cable – Reliable Insulation in Extreme Conditions
This specialized cable with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation is a solution for demanding applications where standard cables fail. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high and low temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and radiation. It is ideally suited for both industrial installations and the construction of switchgear cabinets exposed to harsh working conditions.
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is designed to operate at 1000 V (EE type), making it a safe choice for a wide range of applications. Its construction based on a silver-plated copper core ensures excellent conductivity and durability. The use of PTFE as insulation guarantees not only resistance to extreme temperatures (from -190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C), but also minimal water absorption and high chemical resistance.
- Wide application: ideal for ovens, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices and in the chemical industry.
- Exceptional resistance: to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (briefly up to +300°C).
- High insulation: minimal electrical losses and high insulation resistance (min. 1 GOhm x km).
- Safety: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
- Biological resistance: prevents the development of fungi and is resistant to microorganisms.
- Durability: completely resistant to ozone and weathering.
The cable construction includes a silver-plated copper core surrounded by PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation even in the most demanding conditions. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation and routing of cables in tight spaces. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. Available cable colors allow for easy identification and organization of the installation – simply add the appropriate symbol to the catalog number: 1 = black, 2 = red, 3 = blue, 4 = brown, 5 = white, 6 = transparent, 7 = two-color or 8 = other colors. The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request.
