Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG28/7 (0.09 mm²) transparent, 600 V 25136
PTFE Wire for Extreme Conditions
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire with a cross-section of 0.09 mm² is the ideal solution for applications requiring high resistance to temperature, chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation even in the most demanding installations. The wire is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 600 V.
Construction and Properties
The wire is characterized by its unique construction, which guarantees its durability and reliability. The silver-plated copper core provides good conductivity, and the PTFE insulation – excellent resistance to external factors. PTFE, in accordance with DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards, provides exceptional thermal and chemical stability. This wire retains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). Additionally, it is resistant to radiation, microorganisms, and fungal growth.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C, allowing it to be used in extreme conditions.
- Exceptional chemical resistance: resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline – ideal for use in the chemical industry.
- High insulation: minimizes electrical losses and ensures safe operation.
- Radiation resistance: enables use in installations exposed to ionizing radiation.
- Low water permeability: protects against corrosion and damage caused by moisture.
- Self-extinguishing and flame retardant: meets DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards ensuring safety of use.
Applications
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire finds application in many industries:
- Control cabinet installations: ideal for building switchboards operating in difficult thermal conditions.
- Chemical industry: resistant to aggressive chemicals, making it indispensable in this sector.
- Ovens and heating devices: withstands high temperatures without losing its properties.
- Kitchen and measuring devices: provides reliable connections in devices exposed to variable working conditions.
- Food industry: due to the absence of silicone and cadmium and resistance to microorganisms, it can be used in food production applications (local regulations should be checked for compliance).
Available wire colors (by adding a symbol to the catalog number): black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) and other colors (8). The core can be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request.
