Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG30/7 (0.06 mm²) black, 600 V 25121
PTFE wire for extreme conditions – reliability and safety
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire, made with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) insulation, is the ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions. This wire is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and in the chemical industry.
Construction and properties – the key to durability
The wire construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets the stringent standards of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878. This gives the wire exceptional resistance to:
- High and low temperatures (operating range from –190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C).
- Chemicals – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline.
- Fire – self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
- Microorganisms and fungal growth.
- Weather conditions and ozone.
- Radiation (up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg).
Additionally, the wire is characterized by low electrical losses and high insulation resistance (min. 1 GOhm x km).
Technical parameters and application – tailored to needs
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E wire with a cross-sectional area of 0.06 mm² (AWG 30/7) and a rated voltage of 600 V is designed for use in installations requiring high reliability and safety. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. Available in black (standard), but other colors can be ordered by adding the appropriate symbol to the catalog number:
- 1 = black
- 2 = red
- 3 = blue
- 4 = brown
- 5 = white
- 6 = transparent
- 7 = two-color
- 8 = other colors
The core can be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request. The wire meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). This is a solution for installers looking for wires with exceptional parameters and for end-users expecting long-lasting and safe operation in demanding conditions.
