Single-core PTFE wire HELUFLON®-PTFE-5Y 1xAWG30/7 (0.06 mm²) blue, 1000 V 25323
Highly durable PTFE cable for extreme conditions.
This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable, made with fluoropolymer PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, is designed to operate in demanding environments. It features exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and radiation, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users who need a reliable solution. This cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme conditions, such as furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, or measuring devices. It is also indispensable in the chemical industry due to its resistance to flames, acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline.
Construction and properties
Silver-plated copper core ensures excellent conductivity and durability. PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards, guaranteeing high quality and safety. This cable stands out with a number of key properties:
- High insulation resistance: minimizes energy losses and ensures stable installation operation.
- Low electrical losses: translates to energy efficiency of the system.
- Non-flammability: increases safety in potentially hazardous environments.
- Resistance to microorganisms and fungal growth: ensures hygiene and durability in demanding conditions.
- Total resistance to ozone and weather conditions: allows use outdoors without fear of material degradation.
- Low water absorption: protects against corrosion and loss of insulating properties.
- Radiation resistance: allows use in environments exposed to ionizing radiation (up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg).
Technical parameters and scope of application
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is available in blue (symbol 3) and has a cross-section corresponding to 1 x AWG 30/7. It is designed to operate at 1000V (EE type) with a test voltage of 5kV and an insulation resistance of at least 1 GOhm x km. The operating temperature range is from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C), and the minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. Bare, tinned or nickel-plated core can be ordered on request to adapt the cable to specific application needs. Additionally, other cable colors are available – black (1), red (2), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) and other colors (8) – just add the appropriate symbol to the catalog number when placing your order.
