This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable, made with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fluoropolymer insulation, guarantees reliability in demanding applications. Construction and properties – the key to durability

The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, surrounded by PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation, compliant with DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878. This combination of materials provides excellent electrical and mechanical properties. PTFE, as an insulating material, is characterized by exceptional chemical and thermal resistance, making this cable an ideal choice for environments exposed to acids, bases, solvents, oils, and high temperatures. Additionally, the cable is flame retardant, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal – below 0.01%, and water permeability is approximately 0.18 mg/cm2 over 24 hours. The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not interfere with painting.

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Available operating voltages are type E = 600V and type EE = 1000V with test voltages of 3.4kV and 5kV respectively. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, making installation easier even in tight spaces.
