Construction and properties

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is designed for extreme operating conditions. Its construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, providing excellent conductivity, and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation – a material with exceptional dielectric and thermal properties. The PTFE insulation meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878, guaranteeing the highest quality and reliability.

• Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term to +300°C) – enables use in extremely hot or cold environments.
• High chemical resistance: resistant to acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline – ideal for use in the chemical industry.
• Non-flammability: non-flammable material, increasing installation safety.
• Radiation resistance: withstands radiation up to 1 x 10⁵ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad).
• Low water permeability: minimal water permeability approx. 0.18 mg/cm² over 24 hours provides protection against moisture.
• No harmful substances: materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting.
• High insulation resistance: min. 1 GOhm x km provides effective protection against short circuits and leakage currents.

Additionally, when placing an order, you can choose the cable color: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) or other color (8). The core can be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request.
