Durable PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This single-core HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E cable with a cross-section of 0.06 mm² is a specialized solution for applications requiring high thermal and chemical resistance. The cable is designed for operation in harsh conditions, such as furnaces, industrial installations, or chemical environments. Its construction and materials guarantee reliability and safety in demanding applications.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a silver-plated copper core, which ensures good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation provides exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C) and aggressive chemicals – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, and gasoline. Additionally, PTFE is non-flammable and resistant to microorganisms, increasing safety. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673.

The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter, which facilitates installation even in tight spaces. Various cable colors are available – black, red, blue, brown, white, transparent, and two-color versions (by adding the appropriate symbol to the catalog number). The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request. The rated voltage U/U0 is 600V/600V and the insulation resistance is min 1GOhm x km.
