HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized solution for applications in extreme conditions where standard cables fail. Made of silver-plated copper and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation in a wide range of temperatures and aggressive chemical environments. This cable is used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, brick factories, kitchen appliances, measuring devices, and in the chemical industry.

Construction and properties

The conductive core is made of silver-plated copper, which increases its corrosion resistance and ensures excellent conductivity. HELUFLON® PTFE insulation guarantees exceptional resistance to high temperatures (up to +260°C, briefly even +300°C) and to chemicals – acids, alkalis, solvents, oils and gasoline. In addition, this material is non-flammable and resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth. The cable is also characterized by low water permeability and no moisture absorption.

Application and parameters

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable with a cross-section of 0.06 mm² and a rated voltage of 600 V is ideal for applications requiring high reliability and resistance to extreme conditions. Its flexible construction with a multi-strand class 5 core facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 1.01 mm. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0207 part 6PTFE and MIL-W 16878 standards and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning the possibility of ordering the cable in various colors – black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) or other color on request. The option of tinning or nickel plating the core is also available on request.
