Robust PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This specialized HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable, made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, is designed for operation in demanding environments. It is suitable for applications where standard cabling fails – in furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, and the chemical industry. Its exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals, and radiation guarantees reliable operation even in the most extreme conditions.

Construction and properties for professionals

The cable is characterized by high flexibility and durability thanks to the use of a silver-plated copper core and HELUFLON® PTFE insulation. It meets DIN VDE 0881 and IEC 60673 standards, confirming its quality and safety. PTFE provides excellent insulating properties, minimal electrical losses, and resistance to microorganisms and fungal growth. Additionally, the material is completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal – below 0.01%, and water permeability is approximately 0.18 mg/cm² over 24 hours. The cable is also self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, increasing the safety of the installation.

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is used not only in industrial installations but also in the construction of switchgear cabinets and measuring devices. Thanks to the choice of cable color (black, red, blue, brown, white, transparent or two-color), identification of individual cores is simple and intuitive. The core can be supplied bare or tinned/nickel-plated on request. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
