The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is a specialized cable with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) fluoropolymer insulation, designed to operate in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals and radiation. Ideal for industrial applications where standard cables fail.
Construction and properties
The cable construction is based on a silver-plated copper core, which ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. PTFE insulation – a material with extraordinary dielectric and thermal properties – guarantees safety and reliability even in extreme conditions. This cable is also distinguished by:
- Wide operating temperature range: from -190°C to +260°C (short-term up to +300°C). This allows its use in applications with variable temperatures.
- High chemical resistance: it is resistant to oils, gasoline, acids, bases and solvents.
- Low water permeability: minimizes the risk of damage caused by moisture.
- Radiation resistance: retains its properties even under the influence of ionizing radiation.
- Non-flammability: self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
Applications and parameters
The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y cable is primarily used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets operating in extreme thermal conditions – furnaces, brick factories, kitchen and measuring devices. It will also be useful in the chemical industry, where resistance to aggressive substances is required.
This cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 600 V and a conductor cross-section of 0.03 mm². Its approximate outer diameter is 0.9 mm. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive CE (2014/35/EU), which confirms its safety and compliance with European standards. The conductor class is class 5 – flexible stranded, which facilitates assembly and ensures connection flexibility.
