PTFE cable for extreme conditions

This high-quality HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E 600 V cable is an excellent solution for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures, aggressive chemicals and other harsh conditions. Made with a silver-plated copper core and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation, it ensures reliable operation in demanding industrial environments. The cable is designed for installation and construction of switchgear cabinets, furnaces, brickworks, kitchen appliances, measuring devices and in the chemical industry.

Construction and properties

The cable features a special construction that provides exceptional durability and safety. The silver-plated copper core guarantees good conductivity, and the PTFE-HELUFLON® insulation meets DIN VDE 0207 part 6 and MIL-W 16878 standards. PTFE is a material with exceptional properties – it is resistant to high and low temperatures (from -190°C to +260°C, briefly up to +300°C), chemicals, radiation and has excellent dielectric properties. Additionally, the cable is flame retardant, resistant to microorganisms and fungal growth, and completely resistant to ozone and weathering. Water absorption is minimal, which further increases its reliability in humid environments.

Application and parameters

The HELUFLON-PTFE-5Y T.E 600 V cable with a cross-section of 0.03 mm² (AWG 32/7) is designed to operate at a rated voltage of 600 V. Its approximate outer diameter is 0.9 mm. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). Thanks to its construction and properties, it is ideally suited for use in places exposed to high temperatures, the action of chemical substances and in environments requiring special resistance to mechanical damage and external factors.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning the possibility of ordering the cable in various colors: black (1), red (2), blue (3), brown (4), white (5), transparent (6), two-color (7) or in another color on request (8). The core can also be supplied bare, tinned or nickel-plated on request.
