Single-core installation wire – reliability and safety

This red H07V-K single-core wire with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is a solid choice for various electrical applications. This wire is designed for laying in pipes, under plaster, and in closed cable ducts. It is not intended for direct laying on open structures, such as ladders or cable trays. ### Construction and properties

The H07V-K wire is constructed in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3 standards. Its copper core is stranded and flexible (class 5), which facilitates installation and provides resistance to bending. The insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides good mechanical and electrical protection. The rated voltage of the wire is 450/750 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 3.15 mm.

Additionally, the wire meets the requirements for fire resistance – it does not spread flames according to IEC 60332-1-2. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C for stationary laying and from -5°C to +70°C for flexible operation. The insulation resistance is at least 10 MOhm x km, which guarantees a high-quality connection. The minimum bending radius for fixed installations is ≤ 8mm for cables with a diameter below 8mm and ≤ 5xØ for cables with a diameter above 8mm.
