Single-core PVC cable – reliability and safety of installation
This single-core cable with PVC insulation, with a cross-section of 35 mm², is a solid choice for both professionals and end-users. This cable, designated as H07V-K, is designed for a wide range of applications in electrical installations where flexibility and resistance to damage are required. Made of multi-strand copper, it ensures safe and efficient power transmission.
Construction and application
The H07V-K cable is characterized by a construction compliant with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3 standards. It is ideal for laying in pipes, under plaster, and in closed cable ducts. It is not recommended to lay it directly in gutters or on open cable routes. It works perfectly in wiring devices, distribution boards and lighting, at a working voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC to earth. The yellow-green color of the insulation clearly indicates its intended use as a protective conductor (PE).
Key features and benefits
- Flexibility: Class 5 multi-strand core provides high flexibility, making installation easier even in difficult conditions.
- Durability: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation guarantees good protection against mechanical damage and external factors.
- Safety: The cable meets safety requirements, ensuring reliable operation of the electrical installation.
- Wide temperature range: Possibility of operation in the temperature range from -30°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible) allows its use in various environmental conditions.
- Radiation resistance: Resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad), which increases its durability in specific applications.
- Rated voltage: Suitable for operation at a rated voltage of 450/750 V, making it a universal solution for many installations.
- Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
This cable is particularly recommended for performing main earthing (GSU), equalization connections in large facilities, and lightning protection systems inside buildings – where reliability and safety of earthing connections are important. Its thicker cross-section (35 mm²) makes it ideal for applications requiring higher current.
