Single-core PVC cable – reliability and versatility in every application
This blue H07V-K single-core PVC cable with a cross-section of 50 mm² delivers power where you need it. Supplied on a drum, it is ready to use immediately after unpacking. This cable combines flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users.
Construction and application
The cable is manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0285-525-2-31 / DIN EN 50525-2-31 and IEC 60227-3 standards, guaranteeing its high quality and safety. Its construction is based on a multi-strand, flexible copper core twisted, surrounded by a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation. This cable is designed for laying in pipes, on and under plaster, and in closed cable ducts. It will work perfectly in wiring devices, switchboards and lighting systems. It should not be laid directly in gutters, ladders or cable corridors. The cable is designed to operate at a working voltage of up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC to earth.
Key features and benefits
- Flexibility: Multi-strand core provides easy installation and adaptation to various installation configurations.
- Durability: PVC insulation protects the cable from mechanical damage and external factors.
- Wide temperature range: The cable retains its properties in the temperature range of -30°C to +80°C (stationary operation) and from -5°C to +70°C (flexible operation).
- Safety: Meets safety requirements, ensuring reliable operation of the electrical installation.
- Practical packaging: Supplied on a drum facilitates storage, transport and unwinding of the cable during installation.
- Radiation resistance: Exhibits resistance to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
- Insulation resistance: Minimum insulation resistance is 10 MOhm x km, providing effective protection against short circuits.
Technical parameters in practice
The 50 mm² core cross-section makes this cable ideal for transmitting larger currents, which is particularly important in industrial applications or when powering devices with high power consumption. The rated voltage U/U is 450/750 V – these are standard values for most building and industrial electrical installations. The outer diameter of approximately 12.4 mm allows for easy routing of cables in existing installations.
