Durable cable for extreme conditions

This single-core HELUFLON® FEP-6Y cable is a specialized solution designed for operation in demanding environments. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to temperature, chemicals and radiation, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for reliable conductivity in harsh conditions. This cable is particularly recommended for use in distribution cabinets, furnaces, heating devices, as well as in the chemical and food industries.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of tinned (or optionally silver-plated) copper wire, which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The FEP (HELUFLON®) fluoropolymer insulation guarantees resistance to high and low temperatures (-100°C to +205°C, briefly up to +230°C), aggressive chemicals, ozone and radiation. The minimum bending radius is 10x the outer diameter for flexible bending and 4x the outer diameter for stationary bending. The insulation resistance is at least 2 GOhm/km. The cable has a flexibility class of 5, which means high flexibility and ease of installation.

Additionally, the materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. The cable is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 standards). Its water permeability is minimal (approx. 0.18 mg/cm² over 24 hours), ensuring reliable operation even in humid environments.
