Single-core cable with high thermal and chemical resistance
This specialized single-core cable with HELUFLON® fluoropolymer insulation is designed for operation in extreme conditions. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, aggressive chemicals, and radiation. This cable is ideal for industrial applications where reliability and safety in harsh environments are required.
### Construction and properties
The cable is made of silver-plated copper strands twisted according to VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5, and IEC 60228 class 5 standards. The FEP-HELUFLON® fluoropolymer insulation provides excellent dielectric properties and chemical resistance. Silver-plated strands increase conductivity and corrosion resistance, which translates to a longer cable life.
* **Temperature range:** from -100°C to +205°C (short-term to +230°C) – enables operation at very low and high temperatures.
* **Rated voltage:** 600 V – ensures safe operation in medium-voltage installations.
* **Insulation resistance:** minimum 2 GOhm/km – guarantees high electrical insulation and minimizes the risk of breakdown.
* **Chemical resistance:** completely resistant to flames, alkalis, acids, food, oils, and gasoline – ideal for use in the chemical and food industries.
* **Radiation resistance:** up to 1 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 1 Mrad) – allows use in environments exposed to ionizing radiation.
* **Low dielectric losses:** minimize energy losses and improve the energy efficiency of the installation.
* **Waterproof:** minimum water permeability (approx. 0.18 mg/cm² in 24 hours) – ensures reliable operation even in humid conditions.

The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE). The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4 x cable diameter for stationary bending. The conductor cross-section is 10 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 5.4 mm. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting.
