This high-quality HELUFLON single-core cable, with a cross-section of 6 mm², is designed for applications requiring reliability and resistance to harsh conditions. The cable features FEP fluoropolymer insulation, ensuring exceptional durability and safe use. The construction with a silver-plated copper core guarantees excellent conductivity and minimizes energy loss.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a flexible, stranded core (class 5) twisted according to VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. FEP-HELUFLON® insulation provides resistance to extreme temperatures – from -100°C to +205°C (short-term up to +230°C). Additionally, the cable is resistant to radiation, chemicals (alkalis, acids), oils, gasoline, and the development of microorganisms and fungi. The materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free.
- Exceptional resistance: The cable is completely waterproof and characterized by minimal water permeability.
- Safety: Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DINEN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1 standards.
- High insulation quality: Ensures minimal dielectric loss and high insulation resistance (minimum 2 GOhm/km).
- Flexibility: Minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter for flexible bending and 4 x cable diameter for stationary bending.
Applications
The HELUFLON cable is widely used in installations and construction of switchgear cabinets in extreme temperature conditions – for example, in furnaces, brickworks, heating devices or kitchens. It will also be useful in the chemical industry due to its resistance to aggressive substances. It is ideal for use in measuring devices and wherever high reliability and safety are required. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
