Special application silicone wire

This flexible, single-core silicone wire is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions. It features high heat resistance and is ideal for industrial applications where standard wires fail. Made of tinned copper, multi-strand flexible class 5, it provides a reliable connection and long-lasting operation.

Construction and properties

The wire is made of a multi-strand flexible copper core (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) surrounded by silicone insulation. This combination of materials guarantees flexibility even at low temperatures and resistance to high temperatures up to +180°C (flexible) and +180°C (stationary). The wire is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire – it meets the IEC 60332-1-2 standard. Additionally, it is characterized by high chemical resistance to oils, greases, alcohols, acids and alkalis.

Applications and benefits

The wire is widely used in various industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It will also be useful in power plants. Its halogen-free nature and resistance to extreme temperatures make it an ideal choice where high reliability and safety are required. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V, and the outer diameter is approximately 3 mm for a cross-section of 1.5 mm². The minimum bending radius is 15x the wire diameter for flexible operation and 6x the diameter for fixed installation.
