Single-core silicone wire, high temperature resistant SiF 1x10mm² grey 24606
Extreme application silicone wire
This flexible, single-core silicone wire is a solution for installations requiring resistance to high and low temperatures. It is perfect for harsh industrial conditions where standard cabling fails. The wire is characterized by high flexibility and a halogen-free construction, which increases safety.
Construction and properties
The wire is made of multi-strand copper conductor class 5, providing good flexibility and mechanical strength. Silicone insulation guarantees resistance to extreme temperatures – from -60°C to +180°C in stationary operation, and even up to +180°C in flexible mode. This ensures that the wire retains its properties in both low and high-temperature environments. Additionally, the insulating material is resistant to many chemical substances, such as oils, greases, alcohols, acids and alkalis. The halogen-free construction minimizes the risk of toxic gases in the event of a fire – complies with IEC 60332-1-2.
Applications and benefits
The wire is widely used in various industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It will also be useful in power plants. Its versatility results from its exceptional resistance to external factors and ability to operate in extreme conditions. Therefore, installers can rely on reliable cabling even in the most demanding applications. The wire is ideal for where standard cables fail – e.g., when connecting heat-generating devices or operating in variable temperatures. The minimum bending radius (15x wire diameter for flexible operation and 6x for fixed) makes installation easier even in tight spaces.
