Single-core silicone wire, high temperature resistant SiF 1x16mm² grey 24706
High-temperature silicone cable – reliability in harsh conditions
This flexible, single-core silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperatures, both low and high. It is perfect for applications where standard cabling fails. The cable is characterized by high chemical resistance and halogen-free construction, making it a safe choice for a variety of industrial applications.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of flexible stranded copper wires (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228), ensuring flexibility and reliable connections. Silicone rubber insulation guarantees resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemicals. Thanks to its halogen-free construction, the cable minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire, meeting the IEC 60332-1-2 standard. The cable is resistant to oils, vegetable and animal fats, alcohols, plasticizers, diluted acids and alkalis, and salt solutions.
Application and benefits
The SiF 1x16mm² grey cable is widely used in demanding industrial environments: steelworks, metallurgy, aerospace, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic industries. It can also be used in power plants. Its flexibility makes it easy to install even in hard-to-reach places. A wide temperature range (-60°C to +180°C stationary, short-term up to +200°C) allows it to be used in the most extreme conditions. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500V. The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 7.7 mm and a conductor cross-section of 16 mm². The minimum bending radius for flexible installations is 15 times the cable diameter.
