Silicone cable for demanding conditions

This flexible, single-core silicone cable is designed to operate in extreme temperatures and harsh industrial environments. It features high resistance to external factors, making it a reliable choice for both professional installers and end-users. The cable meets DIN VDE 0250-1 and 502 standards, guaranteeing safety and compliance with applicable regulations.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of a flexible, stranded copper conductor, class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228), providing high flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. Silicone insulation guarantees a wide operating temperature range – from -60°C to +180°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +180°C (flexible). This makes the cable perfect for applications requiring stability in variable thermal conditions. The rated voltage is 300/500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The cable also has high breakdown resistance – minimum 5000 V.

Additionally, the cable is halogen-free (according to DIN VDE 0482-754-1/DIN EN 60754-1/IEC 60754-1) and low flammability, increasing safety. It is resistant to oils, greases, diluted acids, alkalis, salt solutions, and oxidants. It is worth noting the high ignition temperature of this product.

Applications and benefits

Silicone cable is widely used in various industries: steel, metallurgical, aviation, shipbuilding, cement and ceramic. It can also be used in power plants. Its flexibility and resistance to high temperatures make it ideal for applications requiring frequent bending and exposure to high thermal loads. The minimum bending radius is 15x the cable diameter for flexible operation and 6x the diameter for fixed installation. In stationary installations, mounting in ventilated areas is recommended due to potential changes in silicone properties at temperatures above +90°C. Conductor cross-section 2.5 mm² and outer diameter approximately 3.6 mm allow for adaptation to many applications.
