Spiral PUR cable, PUR-SPIKA 8x0.5 mm² black, 300mm 85774
Universal spiral cable for industrial and specialized applications
This black, spiral PUR-SPIKA cable, 300 mm long and with a cross-section of 8x0.5 mm², is a reliable solution for powering devices in demanding conditions. Its construction and materials provide flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. This cable is particularly useful where a large range of motion and compact solutions are needed.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of stranded copper conductors, which ensure good electrical conductivity and flexibility. The core insulation made of TPE-E guarantees high resistance to abrasion and chemicals. The outer braid made of PUR (polyurethane) further protects the cable against mechanical damage, moisture and UV radiation. The cores are twisted in layers and color-coded according to DIN 47100, which facilitates identification during installation. It is worth noting the elongation ratio of 1:4 – this means that the cable can be stretched to four times its length without losing its properties. In addition, both ends of the cable are straight with a length of 200 mm, which facilitates connection to devices.
Applications and benefits
The PUR-SPIKA cable finds wide application in various industries:
- Lifts: The flexibility and durability of the cable make it ideal for powering devices in lifts.
- Entertainment industry devices: Resistance to mechanical damage guarantees reliable operation in dynamic conditions.
- Medical devices: Safety and high quality of workmanship meet the stringent requirements of the medical industry.
- Measuring instruments: Precision and stability of connections ensure accurate measurement results.
- Revolving doors: The flexibility of the cable allows the doors to move freely without the risk of cable damage.
- Low-voltage installations: The versatility of the cable allows it to be used in many other applications requiring reliable power supply.
This cable also features a wide operating temperature range from -25°C to +70°C and a nominal voltage of up to 500V (for cross-sections from 0.25 mm²). Sections with a spiral length of up to 5 meters before stretching and axial versions are also available.
