Spiral PUR cable, PUR-SPIKA 8x0.5 mm² black, 500mm 85776

Flexible PUR-SPIKA cable for demanding applications

This black PUR-SPIKA cable with a cross-section of 8x0.5 mm² and a length of 500 mm is the ideal solution where mechanical strength and resistance to external factors are crucial. Designed for dynamic applications, it works perfectly in devices exposed to frequent bending and stretching. Its construction ensures reliability and long life even in harsh conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction: twisted copper strands, TPE-E insulation and a durable PUR outer jacket. This combination of materials guarantees flexibility, abrasion resistance and mechanical damage. The strands are identified in accordance with DIN 47100, which facilitates installation and servicing. The cable has an elongation ratio of 1:4, which means it can be stretched to four times its length without losing its electrical properties. It is important to note that there are straight sections of 200 mm in length at each end of the cable – these facilitate connection to devices.

Applications

The PUR-SPIKA cable finds wide application in many industries:

  • Lifts: The robust construction ensures safety and reliability in demanding working conditions.
  • Entertainment industry equipment: Ideal for stage applications where cables are exposed to frequent movement and loads.
  • Medical devices: Meets the requirements for safety and reliability in medical applications.
  • Measuring instruments: Provides a stable connection and minimizes interference in precise measurements.
  • Revolving doors: Enables smooth operation of revolving doors without risk of damage to the cable.
  • Low-voltage installations: Universal use in various electrical installations.

Technical parameters and operating range

The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C. The rated voltage depends on the strand cross-section: up to 0.14 mm² – 300 V, and from 0.25 mm² – 500 V. The cable has passed voltage tests at a level of 1000 V, which confirms its safety of use. It is worth remembering that the AWG sizes given are approximate – the exact cross-section is given in mm². Axial versions and spiral sections up to 5 meters in length (before stretching) are also available.
