Flexible spiral PUR cable – reliability in motion
This black, four-core spiral cable with a polyurethane (PUR) jacket is the ideal solution wherever high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required. Its construction allows for free extension, making it easy to connect mobile devices and in places where standard cables would fail due to limited range of motion. This cable finds application in many industries – from industry and construction to medical and entertainment devices.
Construction and properties
The PUR-SPIKA cable was designed with demanding working conditions in mind. Made of twisted copper cores (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), insulated with rubber, it provides good conductivity and durability. The outer jacket made of polyurethane protects the cable against abrasion, tearing and the influence of atmospheric factors. A yellow-green protective conductor (available from 3 cores) guarantees safe use. The cable is characterized by high flexibility – the elongation ratio is 1:4, which means that a spiral with a length of 1400 mm can be stretched to 5600 mm. In addition, there are straight sections of 200 mm in length at the ends to facilitate connection.
Applications and technical parameters
This cable is perfect for powering various types of mobile devices, such as construction machines, lifts, power tools or medical devices. It will also work well in revolving doors or measuring instruments. Its operating temperature range from -25°C to +70°C allows it to be used in a wide range of environmental conditions. The cable is designed for a rated voltage of 750 V (U) and 450 V (U0). The rated conductor cross-section is 1 mm². It should be remembered that the cable is not flame retardant.
