Flexible spiral cable PUR-SPIKA – reliability in motion

This black, four-core spiral cable with a polyurethane (PUR) braid is the ideal solution for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The PUR-SPIKA cable is designed for use in machines, power tools, the construction industry, lifts, as well as medical and entertainment devices. Its construction allows for free movement and operation in harsh conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by high quality workmanship. Copper conductors, meeting the standards DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228, ensure good conductivity. Rubber insulation and an external PUR braid guarantee protection against external factors. A yellow-green protective conductor (available from the 3-core version) increases safety. The cable is available in a spiral length of 2000 mm before stretching, and can reach up to 8000 mm after stretching. It is worth mentioning the 200 mm long straight end sections – they facilitate connection to devices.

Applications and technical parameters

This cable is perfect for applications requiring frequent bending and twisting, such as powering moving parts of machines or devices. The rated voltage U/U0 is 750 V / 450 V, respectively, making it a universal solution for many applications. The operating temperature range from -25°C to +70°C allows its use in various environmental conditions. The elongation ratio of 1:4 provides great freedom in adapting to specific installation needs. The conductor cross-section is 1 mm², which corresponds to AWG 17.
