Flexible spiral cable PUR-SPIKA – reliability in motion

This orange PUR-SPIKA spiral cable with a cross-section of 7x1.5 mm² is the ideal solution wherever high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage are required. The cable is designed for use in machines, power tools, the construction industry, lifts, and equipment used in the entertainment and medical industries. It will also be useful in measuring instruments and revolving doors.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a unique construction that ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It is made of seven copper conductors, meeting the standards of DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228. Each conductor is insulated with rubber, and the color identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 makes installation easier. A yellow-green protective conductor (available from 3 conductors) provides additional safety. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) cover, which guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils and greases. The orange color increases the visibility of the cable.

The cable offers a working temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and is designed for a nominal voltage of 450/750V (H07BQ-F). Its characteristics allow it to be stretched to four times its initial length (stretch ratio 1:4), which makes it easier to route in tight spaces. Sections with a spiral length of up to 5 meters before stretching are also available, as well as an axial version. Straight sections with a length of 200 mm are located at the ends of the cable, which facilitates connection to devices.
