Power cable for inverters – reliability and electromagnetic compatibility
This specialized connection cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-3-PLUS-2YSLCY-J, is designed for use with frequency converters. Construction and application
This cable is characterized by a 3x120+3G16 mm² construction, which means three power cores with a cross-section of 120 mm² and a protective core 3G16 mm². Made of copper, with polyethylene (PE) insulation for the power cores and PVC for the outer jacket, it provides flexibility and durability. Designed for medium mechanical stress, it works perfectly in flexible connections without tensile stress. It can be used both indoors (dry, damp and wet rooms) and outdoors. It finds application in mechanical, metallurgical, food, packaging, automation, environmental technology and control, signaling and measurement systems. This is particularly important for conveyors and technological lines.

- Resistance to external factors: Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable is also resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
- Cross-section: The core cross-section is as much as 120 mm², which allows for transmitting large currents without the risk of overheating.
- Outer diameter: The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 44.4 mm, which should be taken into account when planning the cable route.
Remember to properly connect the screen on both sides of the cable – optimal contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands) is crucial to ensure full effectiveness of the EMC shielding in accordance with EN 55011 standard.
