Power cable for inverters – reliability and electromagnetic compatibility

This specialized PVC cable, designated TOPFLEX®-EMV-3-PLUS-2YSLCY-J, is designed for efficient and safe power supply to motors connected to frequency inverters. This cable combines flexibility, durability and advanced shielding properties, making it an ideal solution for both professional installers and end users. Applications in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, food industry or automation are just some of its potential areas of use.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on copper conductors with a cross-section of 25 mm², providing efficient current conduction. These conductors are insulated with polyethylene (PE), which, combined with the special cable construction (3 core conductors + 3 grounding conductors), minimizes energy losses and ensures high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Thanks to double shielding – aluminum tape and a braid of copper wires – the cable effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference, protecting sensitive devices from its negative impact. The outer diameter of the cable is 24.5 mm.

• The outer jacket material is polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
• The conductors are identified by colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308.
