Type K Thermoelectric Cable – Reliable Temperature Measurement in Harsh Conditions

This shielded Type K thermoelectric cable, made in silicone, is an ideal solution for precise temperature measurement in a wide range of industrial applications. The CuSn shielded construction provides resistance to electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stability and accuracy of readings. The cable is particularly recommended for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to high temperatures.

Construction and Properties

The KXSiLSiek 2x0.22 cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. The cores are made of NiCr-NiAl alloys, which is standard for Type K thermocouples. Silicone insulation provides flexibility and temperature resistance in the range of -60°C to +180°C. Additionally, a braid of tinned copper wires and a silicone coating increase mechanical strength and resistance to external factors. The CuSn screen minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on the measurement signal.

Thermoelectric cables, unlike compensating cables, are made of the same materials as the thermocouple itself – this is crucial for maintaining measurement accuracy. Thanks to this, this cable works perfectly as an extension of an existing thermocouple, allowing you to move the measurement point to a safer location.

Application and Operating Parameters

The KXSiLSiek 2x0.22 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -40°C to 1200°C (according to IEC 584-3 standard for Type K thermocouples). It can be used in aggressive industrial environments where the temperature exceeds 1000°C. It finds application in many industries:
