This black, single-core flexible cable HELUTHERM145 AWG16 with a rated voltage of 300V is a solution dedicated to installations where resistance to extreme temperatures and safety are key. Made from halogen-free materials, it meets stringent standards regarding smoke and toxic gas emissions in the event of a fire. An outer diameter of 2.6 mm ensures convenience in routing and connection.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction based on tinned copper strands, which guarantees good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer provides not only excellent electrical properties but also high mechanical and thermal resistance. The strands are colored in accordance with applicable standards, which facilitates identification during installation. Thanks to electron beam crosslinking, the insulation retains its properties even in contact with a soldering iron at temperatures up to 380°C. The cable is also resistant to UV radiation, ozone and oils, making it ideal for use in harsh environmental conditions.

Applications and compliance with standards

The HELUTHERM145 cable is widely used in the wiring of lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines and switchboards. It is particularly recommended for concealed, surface and cable duct installations. It meets the requirements of UL Style 3376 (AWG 24 - AWG 16) and UL Style 3578 (AWG 14 - AWG 10), as well as CSA C22.2 No. 210 and has the approval of Germanischer Lloyd. It is a product compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE). The permissible operating temperature range is from -55°C to +145°C (stationary) and from -35°C to +120°C (flexible). The rated strand cross-section is 1.31 mm².
