Single-core halogen-free cable for special applications
This green HELUTHERM® 145 single-core cable with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² combines flexibility, high-temperature resistance, and fire safety. It is an ideal solution for wiring in places where high reliability and minimal release of toxic gases in the event of a fire are required. The cable is characterized by a copper core, which is additionally protected against corrosion by tinning.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for demanding applications. Its construction is based on:
- Copper core: Made of multi-strand, flexible copper, which ensures good flexibility and easy installation.
- Polyolefin copolymer insulation: Electron-beam cross-linked, guaranteeing high temperature and abrasion resistance. The insulation is halogen-free, which significantly increases safety in the event of a fire – it does not release toxic gases and limits the spread of fire.
- Resistance to external factors: The cable is resistant to UV radiation, ozone and oils, allowing it to be used in various environmental conditions.
This cable also features a high temperature load capacity – it can operate in the range of -35°C to +120°C (flexible) and from -55°C to +145°C (stationary). This makes it ideal for applications exposed to extreme temperatures. However, it should be remembered that under certain conditions, high temperature may allow for a reduction in the cable cross-section without loss of its properties.
