Single-core halogen-free cable for special applications
This orange single-core HELUTHERM® 145 cable with a cross-section of 0.25 mm² is distinguished by its high temperature resistance and the absence of halogen in the insulation. These are key features for installations requiring increased fire safety and reliability in harsh conditions. This cable is particularly recommended for wiring lighting fixtures, heating devices, electrical machines, and in the construction of machines and surface, concealed and embedded installations.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction with tinned copper conductors (class 5 – flexible stranded) and insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene. This combination ensures flexibility, mechanical strength and resistance to external factors such as oils and UV radiation. High-quality materials guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation. It should be remembered that high temperature load capacity may allow the use of cables with a smaller cross-section – it is worth considering this when designing the installation.
Safety and applications
One of the most important features of the HELUTHERM® 145 cable is its halogen-free nature. This means that in the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, which significantly increases evacuation safety. In addition, this cable is characterized by low flammability and limited flame propagation. Thanks to this, it finds application in places with increased fire protection requirements, such as public buildings, hospitals or schools. The cable meets the standards regarding low flammability and the absence of toxic substances during combustion (VDE 0482 part 267/ DIN EN 50267-2-1/ IEC 60754-1). It can be used at temperatures from -35°C to +120°C (flexible) and from -55°C to +145°C (fixed installation). The rated voltage is 300/500 V (up to 1 mm²) or 450/750 V (from 1.5 mm²). Under appropriate conditions, it can even be used at voltages up to 1000 V AC or 750 V DC. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 1.8 mm.
