Single-core wire with fiberglass braiding, resistant to very high temperatures HELUTHERM® 400 1x2.5 yellow-green, nickel-plated conductor 50956
High-temperature cable for specialized applications
This single-core cable with a fiberglass braid, known as HELUTHERM® 400, is designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions. It is characterized by exceptional resistance to high temperatures, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial and specialized applications. This cable is used where standard solutions fail – from aerospace and nuclear power plants to the chemical industry, metallurgy, and steelworks.
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM® 400 cable stands out with its carefully selected materials and construction. The core made of nickel is stranded (class 2), providing flexibility and resistance to mechanical fatigue. The core insulation is made of specially impregnated heat-resistant fiberglass yarn, guaranteeing safety and reliability even in extreme temperatures. Additionally, the cable exhibits excellent chemical and radiation resistance. A version with an additional Kapton foil is also available for even greater protection.
Operating parameters and safety
This cable can operate in a wide temperature range – from -60°C to +400°C (short-term up to +450°C). The rated voltage is 500 V, and the test voltage is 2000 V. The minimum bending radius is 15 times the outer diameter of the cable (3.6 mm). It meets the requirements of the LVD 2014/35/EU directive (CE marking). It is worth remembering that at temperatures above 200°C during the first start-up, the impregnation varnish may degrade, leaving only the glass fibers as insulation – this is a normal phenomenon for this type of cable. The nominal core cross-section is 2.5 mm².
