Two-way pump group for solar installations

The ZP2-12 ECO pump set is a complete solution designed specifically for small solar installations with collector areas up to 12 m² (e.g., 5 collectors KS2100F TLP AC). The two-way design groups all necessary elements on the supply and return of the solar installation, creating a cohesive system for controlling the flow of the working fluid.

The set includes: a high-efficiency WILO PARA 15/7 circulation pump, a rotameter with a regulating valve, a safety valve, an air separator, a pressure gauge, and two thermometers with check valves. The entire unit is integrated into a compact polypropylene housing, which also serves as thermal insulation.

Maximum energy efficiency and control versatility

The circulation pump used meets the strict requirements of the ErP directive regarding maximum electrical energy consumption. Electronic speed control allows for several times lower energy consumption compared to traditional fixed-speed pumps. To generate every 100 W of heat, only 1-2 W of electrical energy is required.

The set works with any solar controller supporting a pump controlled by a PWM signal. For typical small installations, the MiniSOL controller made with "Plug&Play" technology is recommended, while for an extended range of functions, the GH26 model is recommended. Advanced algorithms for managing the solar installation's operation utilize constant temperature and flow measurements in the working circuit.

Design advantages and operational ease

The compact design ensures low flow resistance for the entire set, confirmed by laboratory tests and significantly lower than standard devices of this type. The built-in air separator enables fast and reliable venting of the installation, eliminating problems related to the presence of air in the system.

Two drain valves integrated with the flow regulator significantly facilitate the process of filling and flushing the solar installation. The set components are ergonomically arranged on the supply and return, simplifying installation and subsequent system operation.

The product is created based on many years of experience from the Hewalex company in cooperation with specialists from the solar technology industry. Pump groups are manufactured in a production plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice and have undergone testing in the WILO Intec laboratory in France.
