Compensating chokes – efficiency and savings in installation
Three-phase INK compensating chokes 400V are elements used to compensate for capacitive reactive power, which translates to increased energy efficiency of the system. They are particularly useful in installations powering loads generating capacitive reactive power, such as switch-mode power supplies (e.g., LED lighting), long cable lines, or photovoltaic inverters. Using INK chokes allows you to reduce costs associated with reactive power consumption and improve network performance.
Application in practice: Compensating chokes are used in both industrial, commercial and domestic installations where there is an excessive amount of capacitive reactive power. Installing a choke allows you to avoid penalties for reactive power consumption charged by energy suppliers.
Construction and parameters: INK 3 chokes are manufactured in accordance with PN-EN 60076-6, which guarantees their high quality and reliability. The three-phase core with a copper winding is protected by a normally open bimetallic circuit breaker, providing protection against overload. These devices are characterized by high resistance to environmental conditions and long service life. Insulation class F (155°C) and vacuum impregnation in class H varnish ensure stable operation even in difficult conditions.
