Self-extinguishing halogen-free electrical conduit

This black, flexible corrugated tube, made of polyamide 6 (PA6), is a reliable solution for protecting cables in electrical installations. Designed for places requiring increased fire protection and minimal emission of toxic substances during combustion, it is ideal for industrial installations and public buildings. The version with a pilot wire – steel wire – facilitates pulling cables over longer distances, saving time and effort during installation.

Safety and material properties

The tube is characterized by high compression resistance (320 N) and operating temperature in the range of -25°C to +120°C (short-term up to +180°C). PA6 material is self-extinguishing (HB according to UL94) and halogen-free, ensuring safety in case of fire – limiting the spread of fire and reducing the emission of toxic gases. Additionally, the material is UV resistant, which increases its durability. It is worth remembering that polyamide is hygroscopic – it can absorb moisture from the air, so proper storage is important.

Applications and compatibility

The tube finds application in internal and external installations (although direct exposure to sunlight is not recommended), as well as in industrial environments exposed to various chemicals. It is compatible with a wide range of cables and electrical wires. It can be used in gypsum walls and on flammable surfaces. However, it is not suitable for underground installations directly in the ground or for concreting. The available inner diameter of 18 mm with an outer diameter of 22 mm provides convenience during cable routing.
