Corrugated halogen-free conduit – safety and cable protection

Halogen-free corrugated conduit, often called halogen-free hose, is a reliable solution for routing and protecting electrical cables. Made of modified polyamide 6 (PA6), it ensures safety in electrical installations, especially where high fire protection and minimal emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire are required. It is a self-extinguishing product that does not spread flames, making it an ideal choice for public, industrial and residential buildings.

Construction and properties

This black conduit with a nominal diameter of 10 mm (outer diameter 10 mm, inner diameter 6.8 mm) is characterized by flexibility and bendability, which facilitates its installation even in difficult conditions. It withstands a load of up to 750 N, which guarantees its resistance to mechanical damage. In addition, the material is resistant to many chemical compounds, oils and UV radiation – especially the black version. The operating temperature range from -25°C to +120°C (momentarily up to +180°C) allows its use in a wide range of environmental conditions. An important feature is also the hygroscopicity of the material – it can absorb moisture from the air (up to 9%), so attention should be paid to storage conditions.

Application and benefits

This conduit is used in electrical installations both internal and external (although direct exposure to sunlight is not recommended). It is particularly recommended in places with increased fire safety requirements and where minimizing the emission of toxic gases during combustion is important. Thanks to its low stiffness and appropriate cross-section, it allows easy pulling of cables over long distances. The way the conduit is packaged facilitates its storage and prevents tangling after a coil has been started – this saves time and material during installation. The product meets the requirements of Directive 2014/35/EU (LVD) confirming its compliance with European safety standards.
