Microducts for fiber optics – protection and easy replacement
The FiberGuard FGG microduct is a flexible solution for guiding and protecting fiber optic cables, ideal for both installers and end users. The ribbed inner surface significantly reduces friction during cable pulling, making installation work easier and minimizing the risk of damage. The product is particularly useful in the construction of new networks, as well as in the modernization of existing ones.
Construction and application
Made of polyethylene (PE) with medium density, the FGG microduct is characterized by high tensile strength and resistance to most chemicals. The ability to operate in a wide temperature range (-25°C to 90°C) makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications – including underground and inside empty walls. Marking every meter facilitates precise cable routing during installation. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials, FGG microducts are resistant to aging processes, allowing for easy replacement of fiber optic cables even after many years of network operation.
Safety and compliance with standards
The FiberGuard FGG microduct is a halogen-free product, which increases safety in the event of a fire – limiting the emission of toxic gases. Although the product is flammable, its physical and chemical properties meet the requirements for a wide range of building applications. It can be used in surface installations (screed) and on-wall installations. Available fiber-line accessories ensure reliable data transmission without interference thanks to the plug-in connection system with a two-stage lock – guaranteeing connection durability and easy disassembly.
