Outdoor Network Cable – Reliable Data Transmission

The BiTLAN U/UTPf Cat.6 outdoor cable is a robust solution for computer networks requiring reliable data transmission in harsh weather conditions. Designed to operate in a frequency range up to 350 MHz, it provides a bandwidth exceeding 1 Gb/s, enabling trouble-free transmission of data, audio, and television images.

The cable is particularly useful when building outdoor networks, where it is exposed to UV radiation, moisture, and varying temperatures.

Construction and Moisture Protection

A key feature of this cable is its construction, designed for outdoor installations. Copper conductors, twisted in pairs, are insulated with a special polyolefin mixture. The whole is protected with a hydrophobic gel, which effectively prevents water from entering along the cable – this is particularly important when laying underground or in cable ducts exposed to dampness. The outer polyethylene (PE) coating provides resistance to UV radiation and mechanical damage.

Installation and Application

The BiTLAN U/UTPf Cat.6 outdoor cable is characterized by a diameter of 7 mm and flexibility, which facilitates its installation and routing. The minimum bending radius during operation is 6x the outer diameter, and during laying 8x the outer diameter. Thanks to these properties, the cable can be used both in cable ducts and directly in the ground. It is an ideal solution for installing CCTV, wireless networks, and all types of connections requiring high bandwidth and resistance to weather conditions. The fire reaction class Eca provides an additional level of safety.
