Halogen-free telecommunication cable HTKSHekw – safety and reliability of installation
This cable is designed for use in fire alarm systems, fire automation, and data transmission in security installations. The construction of the HTKSHekw cable ensures its proper functioning even in extreme fire conditions, guaranteeing the continuity of critical systems. Made of high-quality materials, it meets stringent safety standards and is an ideal solution for demanding installations.
Construction and application
The HTKSHekw FE180/PH120 cable is characterized by single-wire copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.8 mm², which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. It has a foil screen protecting against electromagnetic interference. It is intended for permanent installation inside buildings, especially in systems:
- fire alarm and fire automation (SSP),
- emergency lighting,
- alarm and audible warning systems (DSO),
- teletransmission,
- fire automation.
Thanks to its properties, this cable works perfectly as a transmission and power supply path for linear devices, such as sensors and linear modules in fire alarm systems. It is particularly important in installations that operate in the event of a fire – activating auxiliary devices, such as disconnecting ventilation or bringing elevators down.
Safety and fire resistance
A key feature of the HTKSHekw cable is its halogen-free construction. This means that during combustion it does not release toxic gases or dense smoke, minimizing the risk to human health and life. In addition, the cable meets the requirements of DIN 4102 part 12 and can be used in cable routes E90 as part of an E90 cable assembly (mounting on holders every 30 or 60 cm). It ensures the durability of the cable insulation for 180 minutes (FE180) and the proper functioning of the installation for at least 120 minutes (PH120) in fire conditions. A static screen protects against the influence of external magnetic fields.
The cable has declared performance characteristics B2ca-s1a,d0,a1, which confirms its high level of fire safety.
